The lodge is situated in a gated area of Haven's flagship Hafan Y Mor site. Hafan Y Mor is on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in the Snowdonia area of  North Wales, the nearest towns being Pwllheli and Criccieth (both under 10 minutes drive). 

The Hafan Y Mor site has the following key facilities:

The lodge is located on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula close to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, North Wales. As well as the activities available on site, there is a wide range of attractions in the surrounding area.

Some of the highlights are:

Beaches and coastal towns - beautiful beaches, many of which are dog friendly, most are sandy

  • Abererch - wide, sandy beach within 5 minutes drive/30 minutes walk
  • Llanbedrog - a  National Trust beach famed for its coloured beach huts
  • Morfa Bychan and Ty Coch Inn - a beautiful beach with a unique pub right on the beach
  • Abersoch - harbour village with lots of places to eat and shop.
  • Pwllheli - coastal resort town with harbour and lots of facilities and an amusement area
  • Criccieth - a historic town with a beach and castle.
  • Harlech - pretty coastal town with large, sandy beach, castle and lots of shops
  • Porthmadog - busy town with steam railway
  • Black Rock Sands - large sandy beach, often used by people who want to launch boats/motor boats


Activities and Attractions

Eryri (Snowdonia) is known for the wide range of outdoor activities on offer and we highly recommend taking some time to explore the coast and area. 

  • Walking - the Eryri (Snowdonia) area is famed for its beautiful walks and there are a range of walks to suit all abilities. 
  • Cycling - lots of routes nearby. We can recommend Discover Llyn for ebike and paddleboard hire.
  • Watersports including sailing, paddleboarding, jet skiing and sea fishing are also popular option
  • Zip World -  about 45 minutes away Zip World offers exhilarating experiences, including zip-wire, climbing, high ropes, underground golf.
  • Golf - there are lots of golf courses nearby
